For many people, the most difficult aspect of an addiction recovery program is remaining clean and sober after their inpatient program ends. In fact, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse: 40 to 60 percent of drug addicts revert back to drug abuse after treatment. For certain drugs the statistics are even grimmer, with relapse rates for opiate users approaching 85 percent in some studies. The reasons for this vary, but the most common factor is a lack of preparation for the outside world. Recovering addicts are caught off guard by triggers which they were protected from during treatment, such as drug-abusing friends, old party hangouts and the stresses of everyday life.
Our atmosphere is exceptionally conducive to recovery. Facilities include gorgeous accommodations complete with furnishings, flat screen televisions and full laundry services. Our common areas are comfortable and arranged in a way that facilitates conversation and fellowship. We are within easy reach of public transportation, which means residents never have to worry about how they are going to get to work or AA/NA meetings. For those who need extra support, individual counseling is available upon request.
There is no time limit on a resident’s stay at Keep it Simple House; residents are welcome to stay as long as they need our services. The only requirements are that residents follow all the house rules and continue to abstain from alcohol and drugs.
